The New Jersey Narcotics Enforcement Officers Association will be sponsoring the 39th Annual Training Conference at the Trump Marina Hotel Casino, located in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The Officers and Board of Directors are looking forward to our return to Atlantic City and the training that will be offered. This year's theme is "Old School Narcotic Enforcement - Highway to the Future". We encourage not only interagency cooperation, but also cooperation from the community and businesses.

This years conference will give you the opportunity to: stay current on everything in the field and in the world of technology when it comes to fighting drug dealers and international narcotic importers, network with cutting edge detectives and find out how they are getting the job done, meet old friends and strike up some new aquaintences.

The power packed conference will cover how traditional narcotic enforcement methods can be used to address current law enforcement initiatives. It will also cover timely topics such as anti-terrorism tactics, technology breakthroughs, gang interdiction and much, much more.

The entire cost of the training conference, including the Awards Banquet and all materials is $240.00 per person for NJNEOA members.

I encourage all attendees to be present at the opening ceremony on June 3rd at 10:00 am. Gregory Paw, the Director of Criminal Justice will be the Opening Speaker. There will also be a number of dignataries present that support our association and our efforts in law enforcement. The training program commences immediately following the opening ceremony.

As part of our awards ceremonies which will be held on June 5, 2008, awards will be presented to  individuals who have made significant contributions in the area of narcotics enforcement.

The Keynote speaker for this year's banquet will be U.S. Attorney Chris Christie.

The New Jersey Narcotics Enforcement Officer Association training conference has historically been an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn about and discuss emerging issues.  As our enrollment continues to increase and new trends in substance abuse  persist, it becomes increasingly necessary for the NJNEOA to provide the law enforcement community with education and training to fight this plague against our society.

If you have any questions concerning the conference, please do not hesitate to contact any member of the Conference committee.  The support that you have provided to the NJNEOA in the past has greatly contributed to our success, and I hope that you will continue to be involved with us in the future.

The hotel room rate will be $93.00 per night per room, 7% sales tax extra, as well as the 7% Atlantic City room tax. Paying by voucher is sales tax exempt. No one is exempt from the room tax. There is also a 3.00 room occupancy fee, along with a 2.00 N.J. Tourism fee.

For your convenience, hotel check-in and conference registration will begin on Monday, June 2nd from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Registration will re-open on Tuesday, June 3rd from 9 to 10 am, and again on Wednesday morning at 8:00am. Attendees are encouraged to arrive and register on Monday evening.
