Ecstasy (MDMA), CSA Schedule I, abuse in the United States and the trafficking is now on the rise, posing serious health concerns. Once confined to major metropolitan areas on the East and West Coasts, Ecstasy trafficking is now expanding to smaller communities throughout the United States. Teenagers and young adults continue to be the primary targets of sophisticated crime syndicates who supply U.S. distribution groups with ever increasing amounts of these dangerous tablets. As the trend to consume Ecstasy in tandem with alcohol and other drugs continues, the harmful effects of the drug will increase exponentially.
