“Everywhere You Look There Is Marijuana”

           On December 7, 2007 the Woodbridge Police Department’s Narcotics Unit culminated a month long investigation into the marijuana distribution of Ralph Nieves. At approximately 9:11pm, Detectives Bodnar, Fazio, Lyons, Mullarney and Klimuc, along with the assistance of Union County Sheriffs Officer Jones and his canine partner “Amo”, executed a search warrant at the residence of Nieves which was located in Clark.
           As the search of the home was conducted, quantities of marijuana were found in virtually almost every room in the residence, as well as Nieves’ car. In total twenty-five (25) pounds of marijuana was seized, along with fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500.) and other paraphernalia used for distribution.
           Nieves was arrested and charged with the Possession and Intent to Distribute over five (5) pounds of marijuana, Possession of over fifty (50) grams of marijuana and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
           The New Jersey Narcotic Enforcement Officer’s Association congratulates the officers of the Woodbridge Police Department’s Narcotics Unit and Union County Sheriffs Officer Jones and “Amo” for their efforts in this marijuana distribution investigation that affected the residents of Woodbridge Township.
