“DRUGS ARE NO LONGER - ON THE WAY TO CAPE MAY”

           The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force, along with the Cape May, North Wildwood, Middle and Lower Township police departments culminated an eighteen month investigation into the illegal drug distribution network of Albert Grasch and his son Stephen on August 18th, 2007.
            The day started with officers arresting Stephen Grasch, 29, as he accepted delivery of more than four ounces of cocaine from his Medford source of supply. Then 40 members of the Cape May County Regional SWAT Team spread through Middle and Lower townships executing search and arrest warrants at Stephens home, as well as two homes owned by his Albert, 57, and Karen, 57, Grasch of the Villas.
            Authorities charged Stephen with acting as a kingpin of a drug-distribution network that allegedly supplied cocaine, anabolic steroids and prescription pills, including Xanax and hydocodone.
            Throughout the following two days, thirty-one co-conspirators, between the ages of 25 and 54, were arrested by authorities and charged with third degree conspiracy to possess cocaine. Seized were: $13,000 worth of cocaine, over 600 prescription pills and $26,000 cash. Subsequently, a search warrant was executed upon a safe deposit box registered in Albert Grasch’s name, from which $31,300. cash was seized.
