"NOW THAT'S BEING OBSERVANT"

On September 13, 2005, Ewing Police Officer Paul DiGristina was on patrol when he observed a car parked on a township road with a broken rear window.
DiGristina decided to investigate a little further and as he approached the vehicle he observed the driver, Vadim Shkolnik, 23, removing a hypodermic needle out of his right arm. Sholnik had just injected heroin and was completely oblivious to DiGristina’s presence outside the vehicle. Also present in the car at the time was Mikhail Gunn, 21.
When the car was searched 39 bags of heroin, 2 bottles of methadone and 2 needles were seized.
Both Shkolnik, of Bensalem, Pa., and Gunn, of Philadelphia, were charged with possession of heroin and related offenses and were subsequently released on bail.
The NJNEOA congratulates Officer Paul DiGristina for taking the time while on patrol doing excellent police work.
