
"KEEPING THE NEIGHBORHOOD DRUG FREE"
During the month of November, 2002 Investigator Shawn O'Keefe of the Ocean County Narcotics Strike Force received information pertaining to the distribution of various quantities of cocaine from 2000 Red Cedar Drive, Toms River, New Jersey.< Based upon the information received, O'Keefe, along with the other members of the Narcotics Stike Force, began an investigation into this illegal drug distribution./span>
Investigator Jeff Wilson began making several undercover purchases of cocaine from the residents of 200 Red Cedar Drive. Ultimately, based upon Investigator Wilson's undercover purchases, a Court Authorized search warrant was secured for the residence, and executed on January 23, 2002 by the Narcotics Strike Force, with the assistance of the Dover Township Police Department Emergency Services Unit.
As a result, three adults and one juvenile were arrested. Seized were approximately three ounces of crack cocaine, two ounces of marijuana (packaged for distribution), over fifteen thousand dollars, two hand guns and a motor vehicle.
On the following day, two individuals were also arrested while attempting to enter the same premises. Seized from them were an additional eight grams of crack cocaine, nineteen hundred dollars and a motor vehicle.
The NJNEOA commends the Ocean County Narcotics Strike Force and the Dover Township Police Department for their dilligent effort in this investigation.
