"OLD BRIDGE POLICE DEPARTMENT
BELIEVES IN SHARING!"

On June 17, 2004 the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Unit and the South Plainfield Police Department’s Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a South Plainfield residence. The officers acted upon information supplied to them by members of the Old Bridge Police Department’s Narcotics Unit.

200 ecstasy pills, ½ ounce of cocaine, 2 ounces of marijuana, $1,243 in cash, all the equipment comprising an indoor hydroponics marijuana grow and a safe were seized from the residence. The resident’s occupants Adam Schechter (31) and Christy Medway (21) were arrested and charged with possession and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, marijuana and ecstasy.

The following day an additional search warrant was granted for the contents of the safe. An additional ½ kilogram of cocaine, ¾ pound of marijuana, 46 ecstasy pills and $40,000 were seized.

Bail was set on Schechter in the amount of $300,000. Bail for Medway was set at $50,000.
