
"A CRIME STOPPER'S TIP"
A tip received by the Morris County Sheriff's Crime Stoppers Program resulted in a two-month joint investigation launched by the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, the Morris County Sheriff's Office, the Randolph Township Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. The information received pertained to drug activity taking place at an apartment located in the Randolph Village Apartment Complex.
The investigation came to a culmination on March 17th with both surveillance and an interdiction operation. By the end of the day four individuals had been placed under arrest. Seized by the officers had been eight thousand ecstasy pills, two ounces of cocaine, packaging material and a Mercury Villager that had been equipped with an electronically operated hidden compartment.
